Grace Community Church is a wonderful, friendly church situated in the beautiful town of Glastonbury. You can look straight across to Glastonbury Tor from our windows. We are all part of a church that celebrates God and the life of Jesus Christ. We simply believe he’s the best person who ever lived and the best part is…. HE’S STILL ALIVE! God isn’t far away or high up in the sky. He’s everywhere and most importantly he’s near to you. You just have to open your heart to him and he will never leave you. “God is Love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world so that we might live through him.” (1 John 9). We’d love you to join us, find out about our meetings below…
Sunday Meetings
We all join together on Sunday mornings to worship, praise, pray, learn and be together. Our meetings generally start with a time of praise and worship led by Dan and our music group. We encourage the congregation to participate fully as led by the Holy Spirit using the gifts he gives (as in 1 Corinthians 12 vs 7-12). This is usually followed by a talk from one of our in-house team or a visiting preacher.
During the talk we provide an activity time for children in a separate space.
Afterwards there is time for fellowship over tea and coffee and a tasty snack or two!
We would love to welcome you to our meetings
Breakfast and Communion
On the first Sunday of every month instead of our usual style of meeting we begin by having breakfast together. This is usually followed by a short talk and then we share communion, remembering Jesus’ death and resurrection with bread and juice.
During the breakfast meeting there is no separate provision for children.
Bible Study and Prayer
Several times a year we hold Digging Deeper, a series of bible studies giving the opportunity to delve more thoroughly into the Bible through a book or across a biblical theme. This gives time for teaching and discussion on the topic.
Prayer is a vital part of our Christian life and members meet weekly for prayer, covering all sorts of subjects.
If you would like prayer for a particular need, feel free to contact us or if you are able, come along to our Open House on Friday mornings where there will always be someone willing to pray for you.
